The theme is a little different this week, I was pondering doing 'the best of' series..but felt we needed a little more challenging this week. I'm posting this up early so that you will have time to think it through and post something appropriate by Friday.
The theme this week is:
'A Song Title'
the association can be as broad and obscure as you like...but do try and explain the link if it isn't obvious!
And now some rules for the newbies
(not that anyone pays them the slightest bit of attention)
~ Each week a theme will be posted up on Wednesday, and you are invited to put up your best picture
with that theme in mind, it should be just
ONE and ORIGINAL,
i.e not off the internet,
Then come back and post a comment on this page
so that everyone can link to your blog and see your pic.
By all means mention your camera and lens used, and if the picture has been altered or enhanced in anyway! Out of the box thinking is encouraged!!
Please open your page for viewing for all for that day...and then visit as many others as you can! Try and post a decent size pic on your blog page, so much is lost if the pic is too small or too big.
The entries will close at midnight on Friday.
Play nice....and have fun out there!
....ooOoo....
Little Wonders
Rob Thomas
Let it go, let it roll right off your shoulder, Don't you know, the hardest part is over, let it in, Let your clarity define you in the end, You will only just remember how it feels.
Our lives are made, in these small hours, these little wonders These twisted turns of fate, time falls away, But these small hours, these small hours, still remain.
Let it slide, let your troubles fall behind you, let it shine, Till you feel it all around you, And I don't mind, if it's me you need to turn to, we'll get by, It's the heart that really matters in the end.
Our lives are made, in these small hours, these little wonders These twisted turns of fate, time falls away, But these small hours, these small hours, still remain. All of my regret, will wash away somehow, But I cannot forget the way I feel right now. In these small hours, these little wonders, these twisted turns of fate, All these twisted turns of fate, these twisted turns of fate Yeah, times falls away But these small hours, these small hours, still remain. They still remain, these little wonders, all these twisted turns of fate time falls away, but these small hours, these little wonders Still remain.
Well, I'm back and ready to roll but nothing comes to my mind when I read the theme for this week. *sigh* Will let you know as soon as I posted my take. Thanks, Heather - as always, great choice of theme. See you soon!
Update: I like your take a lot - the picture is so cute... is it a picture of your granddaughter? Thanks for the theme and sharing yours. Mine is up and running - it is breaking the rule, I'm so sorry Heather.
Okay, reading it I was stuck ... lol, but when I came to comment I had 3 songs that popped into mind with 3 different pictures. However I do want to look at what I have and look around me as well to see what I can and cannot come up with :O} I had so much fun last week being a first timer and everyone from last week was wonderful!Thank you for something new to do (for me at least) I'll be back with a link when i find the picture I want to use.
Well, what do you know: it was easier than what i first thought!!? So mine is up as well, early, for i am moving today into my new abode. Have a grand day. Rii :)
Sorry, fixed it... I had a blog stalker stealing my kids pics so I had it set to mark all private unless I open... I forgot to open! It's up! and ready to be viewed!
Yeah!!! I finally found you all again!! I knew there was a Picture Perfect challenge somewhere but for the live of me I couldnt find ya. I look forward to being part of it again :) New Camera, need some new ideas haha :)
Very nice very nice indeed i can imagine the child at the window, echoed by an older version of themselves with those memories running thru their mind but us only seeing the child. Great job.jgh
And in regards to the whole FRIDAY thing...I'm off every other Wednesday and must post while I can. Have fun, I'll be back later to look at everyone's posts.
Looking at the image, reading the words and hearing the song, I found it quite thought provoking. It asked so many questions. The anonymity and positioning of the child looking away from the camera lent an air of mystery and solitude to the scene, a sense of waiting and anticipation. I found it a quietly powerful scene.
Can someone else check my post, please? Ethansdad can't see the picture, but it's working for me, so I just want to see if anyone else is having an issue with the photo.
